Trabajo Fácil

Today my Practical Forestry (work experience) class was tasked with clearing a long rustic path/road through the school's forest reserve. Since most of the path was already pasable, the work was easy. We took in the scenery, chopped some weeds, and enjoyed fresh coconuts and sugar cane afterwards.

Wow Adam, real leaf cutter ants! Was it you or Mike who wrote the paper on those critters? Earth U seems like an incredible place. I enjoyed reading Lauren's blog about their recycling efforts. It can be done! Hope you're enjoying your field work as well. BTW that snake sounds very vicious! Glad it was cut up before it attacked! Take care and have fun.

It was me who wrote at least two papers (in effort to recycle) on leaf cutter ants. The work/classes here are great. And don't worry about the snakes, those knee high boots got me covered.

Did you whack that snack or did somebody else? It reminds me of the great whacking day festival of springfield, although they used whacking sticks and not machetes

Someone else in my work experience class. These people really know how to use a machete. Whacking sticks are for gringos.
