It sounds like your adventure is getting better by the minute. Jacob and I were at Whole Foods today and they had the Kopali bus that runs on vegetable oil. The inside was made of Coconut bark (floor), Bamboo (all cabinets, etc.), and recycled paper counters even the cushions were from natural sources. They could cook in there too, using some sort of alcohol stove top. Their educational farm is in Costa Rica - the web site is www.puntamona.org. The guy who I spoke to, Stephen, started the farm when he met the owner of Whole Foods while at Earth. He said he has lived in Costa Rica for 12 years. He didn't know you (no surprise - but he did ask for your name). Sort of a small world story.
We are looking forward to reading more about your adventure.
Nice coincidence! Actually, I spent about a week at Punta Mona just after my semester at EARTH ended. Stephan wasn't there at the time, but I did get to meet a lot of other interesting people.
After completing my studies of Plant Biology at the University of Michigan I headed to Costa Rica for a semester at EARTH University. The rest is briefly summarized here. Stay in touch by email! adammaxwhite [at] gmail.com

Have a good new year (Rosh Hashana).
Love - Aunt Lisa and the gang
P.S. Get a new picture - you're scaring the children (and a few turtles too).
